Moray West Wins European Power Deal of the Year Award

Last night, the Moray West offshore wind farm project has achieved another significant milestone, receiving the coveted 2023 European Power Deal of the Year award at the annual Project Finance International (PFI) ceremony.

This recognition celebrates the project's innovative financing approach and its commitment to deploying cutting-edge technology.

Grzegorz Gorski, Chief Operating Officer for Ocean Winds, said: 

“I am deeply honoured to represent Ocean Winds and receive the Sponsor of the Year 2023 prize on the PFI Awards stage last night. I consider this award to be truly deserved after raising more than 7 billion euros for Moray West (which also won the European Power Deal of the Year award), Dieppe-Le Tréport and îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier projects. Despite the turbulent times for offshore wind, we have proven that there is enough financing for quality projects proposed by good and experienced developers. This award is also a recognition of the skills, professionalism, and passion of OW teams.”

OW Ocean Winds was also recognised as Sponsor of the Year 2023, acknowledging their achievement of financial close for Moray West, alongside two other offshore wind projects under construction in France.
