Moray WestCelebrates Final Monopile Installation

Moray West has achieved a major milestone with the successful installation of the final monopile foundation by DEME Group's offshore installation vessel Orion.

This marks a significant step forward as the project progresses towards full operation.

The monopiles installed are impressive structures, each with a diameter of 10 metres and weighing up to 2,000 tonnes.

The successful installation is a testament to the expertise and collaboration of various project teams within and managed by OW Ocean Winds. Their dedication to pushing boundaries in design, manufacturing, transport, and installation ensured the safe and efficient delivery of this critical project component.

With the monopile phase complete, operations at Port of Cromarty Firth in Invergordon are winding down. We extend our gratitude to Sarens PSG for their invaluable support in port marshalling activities.

The project now advances to the next installation phase, focusing on transition pieces, wind turbine generators, and blades, bringing full delivery one step closer.
